Sean Waltman apparently(I say apparently because people are very good at spoofing accounts) has taken to Twitter to spill his guts about a variety of topics. Of those concerning TNA Sean Waltman tweets:
“Everyone ask Dixie Carter why TNA chose to announce I no showed Lockdown when they knew my situation over 1 wk prior.”
“Also ask Dixie Carter why she told me we would get through this together & then I received a an e mail saying weve got nothing for you. And even though they could really use me. Im not looking for a job there either. TNA that is. Dixie Carter is a good woman however.“
“TNA did not f— me at all. Just shoot strait with me. Too many people there who feel threatened by me, behind the scenes.”
“But I was part of the reason Konnan won his lawsuit vs TNA for racial descrimination. Im surprised they brought me back anyway. Some people in TNA were wrong & they were guilty. I witnessed it & had the balls not to remain silent. I get the reason they dont want me..”
A few things about these tweets.
First Dixie Carter publicly stated that Sean did not no-show the event and it was pre-scheduled. TNA never released a statement saying otherwise as far as I can tell.
Secondly the lawsuit against TNA also involved a counter lawsuit against Konnan this suit was not won by anyone as an undisclosed settlement was reached by both parties. Which could have ranged from money changing hands, to lawyer fees or a agreement to not pursue. TNA was never found to have descriminated.
Finally Sean’s statements that people felt threatened by him behind the stage are absurd. Professionally threatened? The guy sadly can’t keep his life together long enough to put the kind of run together that would threaten anyone’s spot. Physically? I doubt anyone backstage is afraid either.
Sean is a hell of a talent when he is cleaned up and focused. He may be cleaned up(who knows but him), but his recent actions seem to indicate he is anything but focused. Hopefully he gets things in order and can find happiness.

I highly doubt people felt threatened by him or Hall. I’m sure what people behind the curtain felt was bewilderment. As in “Why are we hiring these guys back?” TNA has enough their trying to accomplish now and having to babysit talent like Hall & Waltman just adds to the stress. When you run a wrestling company, you dont need to have guys who are unreliable, who no-show and complain they cant wrestle because they stubbed their toe, or are at risk of being arrested all the time and embarassing your company. Both Hall & Waltman had their 20th chances with TNA, they blew them, suck it up Sean and stop complaining.

I agree Waltman should not complain about a company that gave him a second, third and fifth chance.
As for TNA signing him and Hall I think it was a good move. TNA is like a small market team in baseball competing against the big money spenders. You have to take on reclamation projects once in awhile and hope they turn out. There is no doubting Scott Hall’s talent level if he is “on”. There was very little risk by TNA as it was a pay per appearance deal. When they didn’t work out they were cut and rightfully so.

I was told and Nash hinted Sean Waltman would return and when he was letgo is because of Hepatitis C he was diagnosed. But TNA should not let go of talent but keep them on 3 year contracts and be tough like WCW did! Seriously Dixie Scott Hall is still with TNA and not even let go till he improves his health and returns due to pneumonia as for Waltman give him a chance and tell him ahead of time how did WWE keep him so long and put up with them? TNA without the BAND sux now!

The problem with 3 year guaranteed contracts is that when talent tanks or when guys decide to lay down it puts you in a bad spot.
I attended a WCW Souled Out PPV in 2000. At the time Goldberg, Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan, Hall, Nash and a dozen or so top stars were under multi-year contracts. Guess who the biggest name on the PPV was? Terry Funk. To be fair Nash did wrestle on the show, but he was the only one out of the big contract guys.
A growing company like TNA needs flexibility, it cannot afford to get locked into long term deals with talent.
