Yesterday, we reported on the final cable rating for this week’s episode of iMPACT! on Spike TV. You can go ahead and click over to read that report. Today, we can report that the final cable rating of 1.15 was generated off of a first hour rating of 1.18 and a second hour rating of 1.13. That isn’t too bad considering that the week before the show drew a 1.13 for the entire two hour episode.
According to the Pro Wrestling Torch, the highest rated quarter hour of the show was the beginning of the second hour which featured Jeff Jarrett’s promo and Samoa Joe coming up through the ramp to attack the Founder of TNA Wrestling. The quarter hour drew in a 1.25 rating. The lowest rated quarter hour of the show was the final quarter hour which featured the end of the Abyss and D’Angelo Dinero confrontation and the Eric Bischoff/Matt Morgan interaction. This quarter hour drew in a 0.98 rating.

As soon as people realize ratings aren’t what they used to be, or where they use to be, they might start being a little more satisfied with the way things are going at present. Wrestling as a whole has declined in viewer ship. Can things improve? Always. Does TNA need to work harder and smarter to raise the bar for themselves, and compel more fans to tune in? Of course. But the time for slamming TNA for ratings below what the “E” brings in is just asinine. Fans needs to take their collective foot off of TNA’s neck at every turn, and get behind the product like never before. At least that’s my two cents.
