Earlier today, Dixie Carter unofficially endorsed former WWE Chief Executive Officer Linda McMahon in her race against Richard Blumenthal for the open Connecticut United States Senate seat. Some folks may find Carter’s endorsement of McMahon to be odd given that they are from two different organizations, but this isn’t the first time that a TNA Wrestling personality endorsed McMahon’s Senate campaign.
Both Mick Foley (who typically votes for Democrats) and Eric Bischoff (who typically votes for Republicans) endorsed McMahon’s Senate campaign. Here is the actual text from Carter’s tweet earlier today:
“Good luck today to Linda McMahon. I think she’d be a great senator. Get out and vote!!!”
It will be interesting to see how the Connecticut Senate race plays out during today’s election.
