A little bit earlier today, Ken Doane (formerly known as Kenny Dykstra in WWE) took a few shots at TNA Wrestling via his Twitter account. Specifically, Doane said that he wasn’t interested in trying out for TNA Wrestling and that while he didn’t mean offense to anyone, he wasn’t comfortable paying for his own flights or working for free.
Here are Doane’s comments as they appeared on his Twitter account:
“nov 8th and 9th i will not be going for my ‘tryout’ in orlando. no offense to any1 but im not comfortable paying my own flights and working for free. that is all. i dont need a job that bad. if WWE calls i’ll go back or if TNA offers something decent. otherwise im absolutely happy where i am in life.”

Doane sounds a bit spoiled. I don’t know of many job interviews where they pay for your airfare do you? Obviously TNA was offering him a chance, it’s sad ego got in the way on his part.

Wasn’t he lobbying pretty hard for a job with TNA on twitter, facebook, ect earlier this year? Promoting himself as this great catch of a free agent? I think he would be good in the X-Division but it’s no big deal if he never works for them. In a way I have to agree, it sucks you have to pay your own way to your tryout. Seems almost unprofessional. But then again, when you go to a job interview, they don’t give you gas money and a sack lunch. The possibility of being hired, having steady pay and being on national TV each week seems well worth the price of a plane ticket and hotel room to me.
