You’ve seen it on TNA TV for years now. Jeremy Borash would push signing up for TNA text news alerts on iMPACT! while holding his iPhone, all while a graphic of an iPhone was on the screen. You see Dixie Carter at ringside, clutching her iPhone as she watches the action. But thus far the only thing TNA-related was an acclaimed turn-based wrestling game, which has seemingly disappeared from the app store.
However, it seems like TNA is expanding its mobile presence with a new free app called TNA On Demand. When launched, the app lets you view videos of matches, backstage interviews, promos, highlights, music videos, ect. Upon downloading it, the very first video I watched was a clip of Jeff Hardy cracking Mr. Anderson over the head with a chair, then some pretty graphic footage of Anderson backstage getting the wound cleaned/stitched up as Kurt Angle watches and comments. Then we see Jeff Hardy claiming no remorse. The new app is expected to add more features in the future. Also, Namco (makers of iconic games such as Pac-Man) is currently developing a new TNA video game for the iPhone, iPod Touch & iPad as well.
