Just like the week before, last week’s final iMPACT! viewership received a nice bump thanks to DVR numbers. As you may know by now, last week’s episode of iMPACT! scored a 1.41 average rating off of about 1,900,000 viewers throughout the night.
The interwebs are reporting that – when adding the “+3” numbers to the initial viewership (+3 and +7 are common terms in the television industry and indicate the initial viewership plus either three or seven days worth of DVRs playing the episode) – that the total viewership for last week’s episode of iMPACT! was about 2,100,000. According to records, this would be the first time that iMPACT! broke the mark for over 2 million viewers this year.
If you add the additional 200,000 +3 DVR viewers to the initial numbers and calculate a new rating for the show, the new rating would be a 1.56 – the highest rating that iMPACT! has received in 2010. However, since it would be a mathematical fallacy to add those 200,000 viewers to a rating based off of the total number of people watching cable television last Thursday night, the initial 1.41 rating stands.
