The Wrestling Observer is reporting that new TNA Knockout Mickie James threw a fit backstage at Bound For Glory. According to their story James was reportedly upset that her logo was not sewn on the back of the referee shirt that she was to wear during the Knockout matchup. The Observer claims Mickie refused to participate in the match and the staff rushed to get the logo sewn on in time for the match.
I’m not really sure how anyone can take the Observer seriously anymore. They seem to be more interested in tearing down any success TNA has (Mickie James’ segment was one of the highest rated segments last week) than breaking real news. This latest report by the Observer goes against what is the conventional take on how Mickie James acts amongst those in the pro wrestling industry.
No big surprise for me – Meltzer has a vendetta against TNA Wrestling for some dumb reason and he attacks them at any chance he gets. What bothers me the most, though, is that he passes his opinion and assumptions off as facts. At this point, that dirt sheet is essentially useless.
I’ve also found most of the writers over at PWTorch, specifically James Caldwell, to be very biased against TNA. They seem to give all the slack in the world to the WWE however. Pro-Wrestling.net is probably the site I trust most. Caldwell & Meltzer are like the FOX News of wrestling. Aside from the Pro Wrestling Report podcast, I tried giving a few episodes of the Torch podcast a listen. When Caldwell isn’t plugging his website and newsletters every 15 seconds, he’s going apesh*t bashing anything TNA does. For TNA news I trust this site and TNAWrestlingNews.com and for wrestling in general, Pro-Wrestling.net is my favorite. Jason Powell knows how to run a great, balanced news site over there.
Bad analogy, Fox News is the only news you can trust. Caldwell & Meltzer are more like Olbermann and Maddow.
I agree with WBW’s comment. And that’s why we at TNAStars.com don’t regurgitate the shit that the biased “big media” websites crank out about TNA Wrestling – it’s all garbage and most of it isn’t backed up by fact. The dirt sheets are the very epitome of that hateful idiot Maddow and that broadcasting failure Olbermann.
I’ve said it once and it bares repeating. I think your sites do a great job overall of the writers clarifying when it is their thought/opinion/rumor and when it is a fact. This is for sure the reason TNASTars.com is growing so quickly. Integrity puts butts in the seats!.
