Last night’s live episode of iMPACT! drew a strong 1.33 rating. This rating was generated from a first hour rating of 1.32 and a second hour rating of 1.33 and represents an average audience of about 1,700,000 viewers. For comparison’s sake, last week’s episode of iMPACT! scored a 1.20 rating off of a 1.23 first hour and a 1.16 second hour.
And if you’re looking for further comparisons, this was the highest rated episode of iMPACT! since the January 4, 2010 live episode that featured the debuts of Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff, and Ric Flair, among others.
Unfortunately for me and my fellow Jersey Shore ilk, The Shore’s debut scored the lowest quarter hour of the second hour with a 1.27. Don’t worry about it Robbie E. and Cookie – the fans will come around! Oh, and for what it’s worth don’t believe the hype that The Shore debut “flopped.” In fact, The Shore debut actually scored a higher rating than all of last week’s episode of iMPACT! The end of the Ric Flair/Mick Foley match along with the Fourtune beat down and Eric Bischoff threatening to fire Abyss scored a 1.44 quarter hour rating – the highest of the night.
