Just a few moments ago, The Shore debuted on tonight’s live episode of iMPACT! Rob Eckos, under the name of Robbie E., and Becky Bayless, under the name of Cookie, fist-pumped their way down the aisle and into the ring in the iMPACT! Zone to a chorus of boos from the audience. While in the ring, The Shore told the fans in attendance that they were pale and lived in their mothers’ basements. The duo then went on to say that they were the real deal, unlike those “posers on MTV.” Robbie E. ended the promo by saying that next week on iMPACT!, “Jersey is in the house!”
As a resident of New Jersey (and, actually, the Jersey Shore), I have to admit that I got a kick out of these two. If they are decent performers, then I think they may have some legs as a heel duo in TNA Wrestling. I guess we’ll have to wait and see!
It was really hard to read the crowd tonight. I couldn’t tell if they were getting legitimate heel heat or good old fashioned X-Pac heat.
Personally I thought they did well.
I was happy with their performance. Honestly, I think The Shore is going to be hated in most areas of the country since most people watch MTV’s Jersey Shore to marvel at the idiocy of the kids on that show. I don’t know – I found it entertaining!
