Former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle confirmed that he signed a one-year contract extension with TNA Wrestling. During a recent interview with Sirius XM’s Right After Wrestling (R.A.W.) Radio show, Angle suggested that after his one-year extension is up, he will consider whether or not to stay with TNA Wrestling or go back to WWE. Specifically, he said, “There comes a time when everybody has to hang it up. I’m coming to the close of my career whether it be a year or two or three. I know it won’t be full-time after this year. I would like to stay in TNA, but if I my option goes to WWE, I will. I want to stay in TNA, no doubt about it.”
There was no further discussion on what Angle meant by saying that he would go to WWE if his “option goes to WWE.”
Angle also admitted that he was addicted to professional wrestling by saying, “I’m just so addicted to pro wrestling. I love it so much. I just don’t want to leave it. I want to keep going. Whether it’s a full-time basis, which it will be for the next year, but after that, but I probably will lower it to a part-time basis due to Angle Foods and my movie career.”
