As we reported last month Becky Bayless and Rob Ecko will be debuting “Jersey Shore” parody characters for TNA Wrestling. Bayless will be Cookie a takeoff on the Shore’s Snookie and Ecko will be called Robbie E a takeoff of Paulie D. and The Situation from the popular “reality TV” show.
Well, now according to reports the WWE has decided to get into the act. Sources say that Zack Ryder will now be doing a Jersey Shore gimmick. No word yet on what cast member he will be parodying…
Again this is a rumor and the WWE may not be doing this at all. However, if they go forward with this I think it will be interesting to hear the muted silence of the internet critics that always blast TNA Wrestling for anything closely resembling a WWE idea.
Dumb how WWE is gonna turn a good superstar into a shitty show gimmick. But this isn’t the first WWE ripped a TNA story of, Remember when Don West was a heel commentator insulting the faces and cheer on for heels. Look at Michael Dumbass Cole he cheering heels -The Miz Most- calls Some wasteless talent. But i hope Ryder get’s a sooner push he deserves it.
The WWE will claim that they have had past heel commentators, but you are right the Cole’s current character mirrors West style as a cheerleader very closely.
