– WWE is still looking to hire new announcers. The company notes in their job listing that on-air personalities may be called upon to get involved in the storylines and duties may involve writing or production. They want you to have a college degree in journalism, communication or a related field, one year of play-by-play sports experience, a knowledge of WWE and strong announcing, writing and production skills.
WWE is also hiring for a WWE Magazine fact checker, an executive assistant & senior counsel for the licensing department, animators and copywriters.
– As of the end of July, this year’s WrestleMania DVD had shipped 247,000 orders. The top four DVD’s of 2010 so far are Mania, Shawn Michaels: My Journey with 135,000 units shipped, Royal Rumble with 122,000 units sipped and the Undertaker DVD set with 118,000 units shipped.
– Rey Mysterio will be taking a bit of time off to sell the arm injury from Alberto Del Rio from the SmackDown in Fresno, California.
