Chad’s Thoughts: After last nights iMPACT! I am really looking forward to seeing these two tie up. We all know they have experience and talent, so it should be interesting to see who comes out on top.
Chad’s Prediction: Jeff Hardy for the win is my prediction.
Dillon’s Thoughts: This should be a great match with two styles I’ve always thought meshed well – high flying & technical wrestling – something like Dean Malenko vs Rey Mysterio from the WCW days.
Dillon’s Prediction: Kurt Angle advances. While I’d love to see Jeff Hardy as TNA Champion oneday, the angle of “Kurt’s Quest” along with Hardy still in legal limbo leads to my pick of Kurt.
Jarrett’s Thoughts: This is so predictable it is hilarious
Jarrett’s Prediction: Kurt Angle
Joe’s Thoughts: It would be great for Jeff Hardy to win and go on to win the tournament because he sells such a ton of merchandise. However, TNA Wrestling is stuck in this ridiculous “win or retire” storyline for Kurt Angle so he obviously gets the nod.
Joe’s Prediction: Kurt Angle
Eddie’s Thoughts:
Eddie’s Prediction: Kurt Angle
TNA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Semi-Finals
Mr. Anderson vs. D’Angelo Dinero
Chad’s Thoughts: I have become a huge fan of Mr. Anderson since his move into TNA. A lot of talent and charisma that he has will catapult him forward into the victory lane.
Chad’s Prediction: Ken Anderson wins this one.
Dillon’s Thoughts: Should be a great match that will have the crowd split with dueling chants of “Let’s Go Pope” & “Let’s Go Asshole”. I love that TNA still mentions the feud between the two and hopefully this match caps it. I’m hoping for someone to turn heel.
Dillon’s Prediction: Pope wins & advances. Anderson would make a great champion but I feel TNA is high on Pope and he is the superstar they need to make. This night belongs to the Pope.
Jarrett’s Thoughts: Mr. Anderson…Anderson is one of the best mic workers in wrestling. I love that Anderson and Dinero hasn’t (figuratively) kissed and made up and they still hate each other. I hope this leads to a title reign by Anderson
Jarrett’s Prediction: Mr. Anderson….Anderson
Joe’s Thoughts: Though I understand the whole reason to have Anderson take on Dinero, I really hate this match and hate the fact that there is a World Heavyweight Championship tournament in the first place. The only time a tournament should be allowed in wrestling is if it’s a one-day tournament a la WrestleMania IV. Anyway, I think Dinero has more to lose if he loses, so I’m going with him for the win.
Joe’s Prediction: D’Angelo Dinero
Eddie’s Thoughts:
Eddie’s Prediction: Ken Anderson
Chad’s Thoughts: I think that there isn’t a team on the planet that is as good right now as MCMG. I don’t see them working so hard to gain their titles, just to lose them to a team like Magnus and Wolfe.
Chad’s Prediction: MCMG wins and retains the championships.
Dillon’s Thoughts: Any MMG match is worth watching, so I think this will be a great match, although London Brawling doesn’t have much steam behind them.
Dillon’s Prediction: MMG wins. I have a feeling Chelsea might turn but I wouldn’t be surprised if they drug that angle out longer.
Jarrett’s Thoughts: The only thing that I’m looking forward to this match is for a chance to drool at Chelsea. “London Brawling” has done nothing to impress me. Magnus looks like a dork. Although I do look forward to see the Guns in action
Jarrett’s Prediction: MCMG wins
Joe’s Thoughts: It was a lot of fun watching these two teams go back and forth on the mic on last week’s iMPACT! However, I think the Wolfe/Magnus pairing still has some maturation and syncing to go before they become world championship quality.
Joe’s Prediction: Motor City Machine Guns
Eddie’s Thoughts:
Eddie’s Prediction: MCMG
TNA X-Division Championship
Douglas Williams vs. Sabu
Chad’s Thoughts: I think Douglas Williams is a talent worth watching, but Sabu is past his prime, so I don’t think this match will be as good as the execs hoped.
Chad’s Prediction: Douglas Williams retains the X-Division title.
Dillon’s Thoughts: Interesting match. I still wish Wolfe had made the cut for Fortune instead of Williams. Still, he’s a great wrestler and taking on Sabu should be an interesting match-up.
Dillon’s Prediction: Williams retains. I’d like to see Sabu win the belt but there’s really no reason for it.
Jarrett’s Thoughts: Dunno what this does for EV2.0 if they win. So I’m going with Williams, but not for much longer
Jarrett’s Prediction: Douglas Williams
Joe’s Thoughts: Letting Sabu win this match would be a lot of fun, but it wouldn’t advance any storylines to any significant degree. I think Douglas Williams takes the win here.
Joe’s Prediction: Douglas Williams
Eddie’s Thoughts:
Eddie’s Prediction: Douglas Williams
Chad’s Thoughts: I think this match isn’t going to draw much attention from the fans. I think the talent is there but they are highly mismatched in their skills and abilities to work well together. We have all saw what their matches have been like on iMPACT!
Chad’s Prediction: AJ Styles over Tommy Dreamer.
Dillon’s Thoughts: I think this will be, like any “I Quit” match, all over the arena. And I bet someone bleeds.
Dillon’s Prediction: I see AJ quitting and Dreamer getting the win. However I don’t see it as simple as that. I expect a massive amount of shenanigans.
Jarrett’s Thoughts: This will be a phenomenal match (pardon my pun) If Chris Jericho is the best in the world at what he does, he shares that title with AJ Styles. AJ is truly the Phenomenal One. Tommy Dreamer still has the skills and can still go. Although I Quit Matches are glorified brawls, expect a lot of submission style wrestling from both Styles and Dreamer
Jarrett’s Prediction: AJ Styles
Joe’s Thoughts: Tommy Dreamer seems to be in the twilight of his career and thus he has nothing to lose if he does, in fact, lose. Plus, I think AJ Styles losing this match hurts him more than it hurts Dreamer.
Joe’s Prediction: AJ Styles
Eddie’s Thoughts:
Eddie’s Prediction: AJ Styles
Jeff Jarrett & Samoa Joe vs. Kevin Nash & Sting
Chad’s Thoughts: I am looking forward to this match because it brings me back to the golden days of wrestling, very nostalgic.
Chad’s Prediction: Jeff Jarrett will finally get his victory, with some outside help of course.
Dillon’s Thoughts: Apparently it’s been changed from a handicap match to Jarrett & Joe vs Nash & Sting. Honestly I really don’t know what to expect here but I wish they would pull the trigger on this angle and tell us what Sting/Nash are talking about.
Dillon’s Prediction: Joe & Jarrett win but Sting & Nash leave them laying.
Jarrett’s Thoughts: I think Joe should get suspended to get away from this. I wish they say what the smoke and mirrors are where we can move on. I might not get a lot of support on this, but I want to see Jeff Jarrett do something that’s worth TV time
Jarrett’s Prediction: Nash and Sting
Joe’s Thoughts: Here’s a long term prediction – the “they” that Abyss talks about are Kevin Nash and Sting. And since I think that’s the way this “they” thing is going to go, I can’t see how Nash and Sting losing here will help advance that storyline in a positive way. Plus, the Jeff Jarrett and Samoa Joe pairing is too new to win this match.
Joe’s Prediction: Kevin Nash & Sting
Eddie’s Thoughts:
Eddie’s Prediction: Jarrett & Joe
Falls Count Anywhere Match
Abyss vs. Rhino
Chad’s Thoughts: It really doesn’t matter who will win this match, because these two guys are going to maim each other and it is going to be interesting to watch it happen.
Chad’s Prediction: Abyss wins to help push his “They” storyline!
Dillon’s Thoughts: I wouldn’t mind seeing this turned into a long feud. This will be all around the arena as well and should be the hardcore match of the night.
Dillon’s Prediction: Abyss wins, probably by using Janice off screen. He’s got too much momentum with the mic time he gets, his “they” storyline, ect to lose to Rhino, whose just background decoration for Dreamer & Co.
Jarrett’s Thoughts: This’ll be a good match. I would think that Abyss would get the win to advance the Bound For Glory storyline.
Jarrett’s Prediction: Abyss
Joe’s Thoughts: Rhino is still employed by TNA Wrestling, huh? Good for him. Abyss is going to wreck his ass and then he’ll go back into the obscurity that he seems to wallow within.
Joe’s Prediction: Abyss
Eddie’s Thoughts:
Eddie’s Prediction: Abyss
Velvet Sky vs. Madison Rayne
Chad’s Thoughts: I thought things would pretty much come to a screeching halt between these two last night on iMPACT!, but since Velvet lost I could see where she might seek a little revenge.
Chad’s Prediction: Madison Rayne and her lackey Tara force the victory over Velvet.
Dillon’s Thoughts: It’s so refreshing that women’s wrestling is watchable again. I’m glad we’re seeing a face version of TBP as well as Tara back in the company.
Dillon’s Prediction: Velvet gets the win but I’d expect a huge brawl between Velvet/Love vs Tara/Rayne. Ha! That would be a good tag name for them…Rayne of Tara. I’d love to see a 3-way tag match between TBP vs. Rayne/Tara vs. Hamada/Wilde (current TNA Knockout Tag Champs) at Bound for Glory.
Jarrett’s Thoughts: This is a match? I seriously don’t remember this being announced. With Tara being revealed on camera as Madison’s bodyguard, Madison will show her new found aggression
Jarrett’s Prediction: Madison Rayne wins
Joe’s Thoughts: I’ve enjoyed watching the reformation of the original Beautiful People as well as the reintroduction of Tara into the Knockouts division. That said, I’m giving the nod to the “Beautiful Person” in this match since Madison Rayne and Tara won the go home match on iMPACT!
Joe’s Prediction: Velvet Sky
Eddie’s Thoughts:
Eddie’s Prediction: Velvet Sky
