Below is the text of an article from a marketing industry website that talks about the new Chief Marketing Officer for TNA Wrestling – Al Ovadia. According to the article, Ovadia has worked with some of entertainment’s biggest brands including the Simpsons and Spider-Man. He comments that TNA Wrestling is the fastest growing sports entertainment company in America and that he wants to help accelerate its growth in the coming years.
From my perspective in the business world, usually whenever an organization hires a Chief Marketing Officer they are working on a long-term plan for growth and increased brand awareness – something above and beyond press releases and an online presence. It’ll be interesting to see what Ovadia is able to bring to the table at TNA Wrestling because if this job is done right, it could really move the organization’s profile up in the sports and entertainment industries.
