Earlier today, Eric Bischoff congratulated MTV and their hit television show Jersey Shore for dominating the cable ratings – and beating all of TNA Wrestling’s programming – on Thursday night. Specifically, he posted the following congratulatory note on Facebook: “Once again, proving that Controversy Creates Cash: “Thursday night had a steady 5.5 million viewers while its 18-49 rating rose to 2.9.Once again, “Jersey Shore” beat all of broadcast on Thursday — and is very nearly the week’s top-rated show” (courtesy of Hollywood Reporter). Congrats to BHE’s friends at MTV on the HIT!”
I have two quick thoughts here. First, it’s great to see a guy like Eric Bischoff (someone who understands television better than any dummy writing on an internet wrestling website) congratulate his head-to-head competition. That’s a classy move. Second, as a guy who has lived on the real Jersey Shore for the last eleven years, I hate that MTV show with a passion. If you want to see the real Jersey Shore, come and hang out with me for a day and I’ll show you all of the “BENNY go home!” signs around here…
