In a recent series of videos posted where he was interviewed during the annual ComicCon convention, Paul Heyman said that he was flattered at the ECW angle playing out in TNA Wrestling.
Specifically, he said, “It’s hard not to be flattered,” with respect to the ECW legacy never ending. He repeated this comment before he said that nothing could be more flattering that people could remember the accomplishments of ECW to the point where they can’t let it go.
Heyman goes on to say that he’s a big believer in progression and that people holding on to ECW is not for him to judge. He said that if he was to run the Yankees, he wouldn’t keep the Derek Jeters or A-Rods, he would want to get the younger guys who are in their early 20’s and build around them.
He went on to say that he couldn’t possibly be offended by the angle.
