After a major breakthrough on the July 8th episode of iMPACT!, TNA maintained its momentum and managed to sustain the 1.0+ level in the overall ratings for last week’s show. Actually, the show not only broke the 1.00 barrier, it wound up scoring a final rating of 1.09.
James Caldwell of the Pro Wrestling Torch is reporting that last week’s episode of iMPACT! (7/15) scored a 1.06 rating for the first hour while the second hour scored a 1.11 for a final rating of 1.09.
In terms of actual viewers, iMPACT! averaged 1,436,000 viewers for the night (slightly less than the previous week). This isn’t such a bad number of viewers considering that the show has mostly averaged in the 1.2 million range since its move back to Thursday nights. This TNA fan is hoping that the ECW storyline as well as the overall increase in the show’s quality is bringing viewers back each week.
For comparison’s sake, last Thursday’s WWE Superstars on WGN America scored a final rating of 0.74. This represented an average of 795,000 viewers for the hour-long show.
