“The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes recently did an interview with Tampa Online. He was asked about his retirement from pro wrestling and his thoughts on wrestlers such as Ric Flair who may have stayed past their prime.
In regards to Ric Flair he says he believes “The Nature Boy” still gives 100% in the ring, “I don’t want to go out and embarrass WWE, the product, my kids, my legacy,” Rhodes tells Tampa Online. “And he’s (Flair) not embarrassing anybody yet, but you do see some old timer still trying to do it and it’s just hard to watch them.”
Some fair comments by Dusty in my opinion. Flair is still a master on the mic, but the longer he hangs around in the ring the more it does cloud his legacy I believe. That being said it is Ric’s life and if he enjoys or even just needs the money involved in still wrestling, that’s his business. As fans though, I think we all would like to have seen him go out on top.

In other words, Dusty is saying “I’m working for WWE, I must bash something/someone related to TNA to please Vince McMahon!” Seriously, Ric Flair has wrestled like twice since coming to TNA. I wish people would just stop the hating already -_-

I didn’t really take it as Flair bashing on Dusty’s part. He went out of his way to say Flair is still doing well. He could easily have tried to bury him.
