They showed a video recapping last week’s main event that saw Swagger and Show battle before Swagger ran away after attacking the ankle. They then showed Kane abducting Swagger as he promised to have an alibi to prove his innocence this week.
Kofi came out and we saw a replay of Nexus destroying him on NXT. They said he was still hurt from the beating.
Match Number One: Kofi Kingston (c) Vs. Dashing Cody Rhodes, Non-Title Match.
Kofi again struggled to barely make the leap to the top rope during a back and forth match that started with a good crowd reaction which quickly went away. Cody focused his attack on Kofi’s body due to Nexus’ attack. The crowd came back strong once Cody had the heat and Kofi made a good comeback when Kane’s music hit. He chokeslammed both of them before grabbing a mic.
No Result.
Kane said he had breaking news – that there will be a bludgeoning tonight since Swagger is a liar. He said Swagger will pay for his sins. He hit his pyro and left. After an adbreak they showed a video recapping Swagger’s recent attacks on Rey Mysterio.
Rey was shown in the back with a big brace being put on his ankle by a doctor. He grabbed his title and held it tight as Josh came in to ask how he was feeling. Rey said he was in a lot of pain and won’t be defending the title at MitB, that he would forfeit it to Swagger tonight in the ring. Josh asked if he was serious and Rey said of course not and said he wouldn’t be invincible but the brace would get him on his two feet to keep living his dream as champion. He said the attack last week was a moment of desperation from Swagger and that as far as the Undertaker, Karma works in a mysterious way.
They cut to Swagger on the phone in the back and said Rey was as delusional as Kane and wanted to know when the person on the phone would arrive.
They showed a video package on the very first MitB match that Edge won and his title win when he cashed it in.
Match Number Two: Drew McIntyre Vs. Christian.
Match started pretty quickly as they battled for a while on the apron. Christian hit a pendulum kick in the ropes to knock Drew off then followed it with a dive from the top rope to the floor then a cross body from the top rope back in the ring. Drew pushed Christian from the top rope to the floor to get the heat. Crowd were really into the hope spots from Chrisitan who went up top far more than usual, previewing the ladder match. Drew threatened a German from the second rope which was avoided, both avoided the other’s finishers then Drew hit a big thumb to the eye to enable him to hit the Future Shock for the pin.
Winner: Drew McIntyre, Pinfall.
Drew did a lot of looking and pointing at the briefcase before another Alberto Del Rio promo. It was his knowledge is power promo from last week.
They then played a video of the 2009 MitB that saw Punk win his second briefcase. They showed Punk cash it in against Jeff Hardy after he won a ladder match. After the video Punk and the entire SES were in the ring. He hushed the crowd and talked about winning MitB back to back and built a society with no cracks in its foundation unlike our society.
Big Show’s music hit and he came down to the ring with a normal ladder and a little step ladder. Punk was upset about being interrupted but Show just kept about his business setting up the normal ladder in the ring. Show said Punk puts people to sleep and made a little comedy. He said he was out here to talk about something exciting, the first MitB match with a giant. Punk said he was looking forward to Show doing a 450 off the ladder. Then called him fat but Show cut him off for some more comedy as SES watched from outside the ring.
Show said this match would be dangerous because if he falls he could squish someone. He said a normal ladder looks like a fly swatter to him. He tried to climb the ladder but the bottom rung broke. He said it was ok since he’s so tall he doesn’t need it. Punk was making snide remarks near a mic which was the best part. Show said as a giant he was used to breaking things so this could be hard but he had a treat and got an industrial sized giant ladder brought to the ring. He set it up in the ring and Punk said if he climbs he is going to look like King Kong and will fall just like Kong. Punk got Show’s attention here and Gallows with the masked man attack Show from behind.
Punk climbed Show’s giant ladder with his one hand but Show rose while he was up top. The masked man jumped off the ladder but Show caught him and dumped him over the ropes. Show started to climb up after Punk for an amazing visual on top. He pulled the mask off to reveal the bald Punk. This segment went a little long in the middle but had great delivery from Punk and Show that lead to a fantastic climax of just the two up top due to Punk’s facials. Expect some amazing gifs soon.
Swagger was in the back again on the phone with the person who has his evidence. The person was lost.
Match Number Three: Trent Barreta & Layla w/ Croft Vs. Kelly Kelly & Chris Masters w/ Tiffany, Mixed Tag Team Match.
Kelly had her handspring elbow stopped very early and I don’t know if she has ever actually hit it. Rosa Mendes came skipping down the ramp so Barreta and Croft swung her rope while she jumped. Layla screamed at Berreta and Kelly used the distraction of Masters taking out The Dudbusters on the outside to hit the K2 for the pin. Nothing match.
Winners: Kelly Kelly & Chris Masters, Pinfall.
Rosa looked very upset and guilty as she jumped rope back up the ramp with Layla giving her a death look.
Matt Hardy came out cutting a promo about being just as comfortable on top of a ladder as he is on the ground. He said after he wins the MitB match he would cash it in that very night against whoever is the champion and will leave MitB as champion.

Match Number Four: Matt Hardy Vs. Dolph Ziggler w/ Vickie.
Typical recent Hardy match though crowd wasn’t as into everything as normal. Hardy did hit a good counter powerbomb but missed a moonsault. Hardy got a nearfall off the Side Effect where Dolph got to the rope by a finger. He then got the sleeper on but Hardy sent him into the turnbuckles. Vickie climbed the steps and stopped Matt from continuing offence by distracting the ref. Dolph pushed Hardy into Vickie but he stopped himself which allowed Dolph to hit the ZigZag for the pin.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler, Pinfall.
Vickie was very happy with the win and celebrated big with Dolph back in the ring.
They showed a limo pulling in and Swagger opened the door to hug his daddy who handed an envelope over to Swagger who had it sent to production. Swagger and Mr Swagger came down to the ring and Jack cut a promo talking about how he has had a blessed life. He said it was easy to lose sight of friends and family when you’re on a pedestal. He said even with the four way title match that was looming, the day Undertaker was attacked he took time to spend time with his father. He said it’s hard to focus on getting his title back with Kane after him so tonight he will clear everything with Kane so that he can get focused. He showed exhibit a: photos of the Swaggers stretching and doing push ups. Exhibit b was them winning the blue ribbon for a fishing comp. C was winning a chicken wing eating contest.
Kane’s music hit and he came down to the ring. Kane said he doesn’t believe a word that Swagger has said. Swagger said he had more evidence, showing photos of the two running. Kane grabbed Swagger by the throat as Mr Swagger pleaded with him. Swagger hit Kane with the mic to break the hold and he put on the ankle lock as his dad shouted encouragement.
Rey ran/limped down the ramp and hit a 619 on Swagger to break the hold. Rey left the ring and Kane grabbed both Swaggers by the throat but Jack got out leaving his daddy alone to be chokeslammed. It was a great scene as Jack physically turned his back on his dad outside so that he wouldn’t see but wouldn’t help him from being chokelsammed. Swagger was angry but wouldn’t enter the ring. Kane picked his daddy up for a tombstone as Jack walked up the ramp. Kane hit his pyro as Swagger walked backstage.
