Finally, in its ninth week back on Thursday nights and after four straight weeks of scoring a 0.99 rating, TNA iMPACT! broke the 1.00 average rating barrier. In fact, reports suggest that iMPACT! not only broke the 1.00 average, but that the show shattered that benchmark.
James Caldwell of the Pro Wrestling Torch is reporting that last week’s episode of iMPACT! (7/8) scored a 1.11 rating for the first hour while the second hour scored a 1.18 for a final rating of 1.15.
In terms of actual viewers, iMPACT! averaged 1,500,000 viewers for the night (nearly 300,000 more than the previous week) which is pretty impressive considering that the show went head-to-head against the LeBron James ego-fest on ESPN (which drew a 7.0+ rating).
For comparison’s sake, last Thursday’s WWE Superstars on WGN America scored a final rating of 0.64. This represented an average of 715,000 viewers for the hour-long show.
