For the last day or so, I’ve been reading about Jeff Hardy getting “fat” lately. Some folks are reporting that he looked fat at the house show in Brooklyn, NY last week and they’re floating around a picture of him from the show that supposedly proves this point. I have to offer a comment on this “news” item…
At last week’s house show in Asbury Park, NJ I met Jeff Hardy after the show was over. I was at the bar and he was walking by looking for a cigarette. He stopped and shook my hand as well as my buddy’s hand. The guy was directly in front of me in street clothes – about a foot away from my eyes. For people to say that he’s getting “fat” is completely ridiculous. I saw the man with my own two eyes and he’s not getting fat at all. In fact, he looked extremely normal (if that makes any sense). In other words, he didn’t look fat, he didn’t look emaciated, he just looked like a regular guy.
This is another example of how the internet wrestling fools try to make up news and how once that “news” is made up, it spreads like wildfire. So take it from a guy who shook Jeff Hardy’s hand and was about a foot away from him – he’s not getting fat.
What a ridiculous “news” item…
