The British wrestling family have many reasons to be proud at present, so rejoice and be glad!
TNA is the promotion taking British talent and fans seriously. Its new Xplosion show, which debuts tonight, is centered on our boys.
Desmond Wolfe, as we now know him, is one of the beneficiaries.
“I don’t know what level of respect I really have,” says the Kent-born ring hero and former ROH Champion. No false modesty here, but our boy is pleased to hear that a certain Nature Boy was singing his praises to FT last month.
“I’ll have to congratulate him on his fine judgment the next time I see him! TNA is great to be a part of. I used to be envious of people in WWE who were having matches with Finlay and Regal, and I’d think what I’d do to be in that situation.
“Now we have guys like Kurt Angle who have been everywhere and done it all who help you out.”
Wolfe has exploded onto TNA and reconciled the physical and mental pressures of his early career in ROH with his new-found exposure to TV fans and talent in TNA.
“My style was beating the sh*t out of me as well as everyone else so I knew I’d have to change anyway. ”
“The fans are absolutely spoiled. To some extent I felt we were the marks!! We were the ones going out and killing ourselves but what choice do you have? To move on to the next level, you have to get over in the level you’re in.”
