TNA will be revamping the format of their syndicated Xplosion TV show to make it more of a one-hour original program and not just a highlight show.
TNA is placing more emphasis on the Xplosion show, but it is not the “big surprise” TNA president Dixie Carter teased on Twitter over the weekend.
As part of the Xplosion changes that began at today’s Impact TV taping, Jeremy Borash is handling the lead play-by-play in Mike Tenay’s place.
TNA currently places select matches from Xplosion online with commentary by the regular TNA iMPACT! announcers Tenay and Taz.
The revamped Xplosion format is part of TNA’s attempt to expand their international TV presence. The Xplosion show currently airs in international markets, specifically on the Extreme Sports Channel in the U.K. and the Fight Network in Canada.
