iMPACT! is now using longer segments and longer commercial breaks (essentially eight commercial breaks over two hours instead of ten). They ditched those deals where in a long commercial break, they’d do that 30 second deal in the middle of the break which was a Spike directive (they were doing that in TUF as well). The idea was to keep people from switching away during breaks but it actually didn’t change anything. The new formatting allows for a 6:00 television match without a commercial break.
Dillon Avery says
Doesn’t affect me much since I rarely channel surf during Impact. During RAW though, I’m switching around, as fanboyish as that sounds.
