Show Opening
Replay of Sacrifice key moments lead to the fireworks in the iMPACT Zone, no opening intro video tonight. Eric Bischoff comes out with Miss Tessmacher and the ring has three pictures with the “Top 10 Contenders” logo on them. Eric stats that the TNA Championship Committee ((Ring a bell anyone?)) that consists of Dixie Carter, Hulk Hogan, and Eric Bischoff ((Ah, Larry Zbyszko isn’t on this one.)) judged the contenders on three things: Fan Polling, which 3 quarters of a million voters; Career wins, losses, and titles ((Guess that means Orlando Jordan won’t get it)); and TNA wins and losses and titles. Apparently Bischoff’s eyesight is so bad he needs glasses to read names off paper.
#10 is Samoa Joe. ((Joe, dressed up in a cream dress shirt and black blazer. I guess Nation of Violence must really be over then, but why not change the entrance video then?))
#9 is Rob Terry, who keeps up in the TNA Dress-up Game
#8 is Desmond Wolfe ((#1 in the polls online by the way.))
#7 is “Miss Techmachers favorite” The Pope. ((Hey John Cena called from 2003, he wants his hat back))
#6 is Abyss. Ok. TNA’s dress up game must be over. ((I’m honestly surprised he isn’t wearing one of Hulk Hogans 4, I did say 4, T-Shirt Designs.))
#5 is Mr. Anderson. Pretty decent pop and was dressed in a suit.
#4 is Jeff Hardy ((Guess his wardrobe is lacking, he’s wearing the exact same thing he is on the preview to his new shirt on ShopTNA.com. And I guess this shows that he isn’t too far from the bottom, but number four because of his upcoming trial))
#3 is the former World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles who trash talks at the camera as his video promo starts to air. ((These were annoying when they started the short videos with Samoa Joe’s entrance earlier and everyone else after.))
#2 is Kurt Angle who doesn’t show, despite being plugged for tonight and a loud “We Want Angle” chant
#1 and the recipient for a title match: Sting.
Eric Bischoff says on behalf of “TNA Entertainment”, congratulations. ((Huh? I thought it was TNA Wrestling??)) Eric also announces that Sting will face Jeff Hardy tonight. Sting says Eric needs to change the way he walks, so that leads to a gut and leg shot. Abyss runs in but gets several bat shots and gets knocked out of the ring. Jeff Hardy takes the bat away, drops it and backs Sting in a corner. Hardy slaps Sting and sting kicks below the belt, and now here comes RVD. ((How many superstars do we need out here?)) As he runs down to the ring, you can see AJ Styles, Desmond Wolfe, and Mr. Anderson on the ramp chatting. Hardy gets Twist of Fate and Sting rolls out of the ring.
-Commercial Break-
We go to the back with Eric Bischoff hurt and Hulk Hogan by his side in the “Backstage cam”. They talk before they get interrupted by Matt Morgan, who wants a title shot. Hogan grants it and Bischoff gets censored.
TNA Knockouts Womens Champion Madison Rayne vs. Roxxi (non-title)
As we come back Roxxi “TNA must need a knockout Jobber” comes out. The TNA Knockout Champion, Madison “I’ve won 1 singles match my entire TNA Career” Rayne comes out. They mention the Beautiful People getting her head shaved because of the Beautiful People last year as Roxxi’s motivation ((as if the fact her opponent the TNA Knockouts Title means nothing.)) A decent match and Roxxi wins on a roll up.
Chelsea is in Desmond Wolfe’s locker room whining about having to stand by Abyss for 30 days, Wolfe says he has to be alone for 30 days, he’s got it worse. And she’ll be fine.
Angle just arrived and someone unseen asks if he knew he is #2 in Top 10 Contenders list. Angle ignores him and keeps on walking
-Commercial Break-
Kurt Angle Segment
Kurt Angle tribute video plays to the tune of “Fractured” by Taproot (Which is also the Slammiversary theme song.) Angle comes out and says he has noticed changes since he left a month ago. A fan yells “I love you” and Angle says “Thank you and I love you too.” Angle plugs the new talent (RVD, Jeff Hardy and Mr. Anderson) and the old talent that have “stepped up” (AJ Styles and Samoa Joe.) Angle states that he would wrestle for free and that it was “never about the money or ego.” He says he was born to be a winner and will be one for the rest of his life. He’s done everything he can do in every form of wrestling and asks fans how he can reinvent himself. He says he will do it by taking his name off the “Top 10 Contenders” list and will beat everyone on the list from 10 to one. Says you (fans) will see some of the best matches and it’s DAMN real.
Christy Hemme is with Ric Flair and Beer Money. Flair says that the first rule of thumb is to never say his name in the same breath as someone else, even if it is Kurt Angle. He talks about Lethal and his announces and them brawling at Sacrifice. He says he doesn’t care who he picks as a partner and Beer Money will destroy them. Kaz comes in and wants to talk to Flair. Beer Money was about to attack him but Flair tells them not to. He makes a remark to Hemme and she says “we’re done here”

“Backstage Cam” again, this time with the TNA Global Champ, Rob Terry. Says he is injured but will face Orlando Jordan tonight.
TNA Global Champion Rob Terry vs. Orlando Jordan (non-title)
Orlando Jordan gets lowered from the ceiling as he did at Sacrifice. OJ goes straight for the injured knee of Terry. Terry gets several right hands in. OJ goes for a ref bump with Earl Hebner and gets back body dropped by Terry. Only a two count for Orlando on Terry. OJ starts doing a number on the injured knee of Terry by kicking it, clipping it, etc. OJ takes the bandages down to the knees and gets him in a “Leg Lace.” Hebner rings the bell without Terry Tapping. Winner by Ref Stoppage/Submission: Orlando Jordan. After the match 4 referees finally get OJ off of Terry only for him to come back and reapply the “Leg Lace” on Terry. The referees finally get him to break the hold and he blows a kiss to Terry as he leaves.
“Backstage Cam” with Jay Lethal and he talks about him impersonating Flair. He said he meant no harm by it and wasn’t trying to make fun of him. Rob Van Dam pops out of the corner and asks if he can be Lethal’ tag Partner tonight. He thanks Lethal for helping him at Sacrifice.
We cut to Jeff Hardy while he’s applying Makeup. He says that when he was wrestling on a trampoline when he was a kid. He said he idolized Sting, and can’t believe he is facing him tonight.
Shannon Moore is ineffective at holding Jesse Neal back and he barges into Team 3D’s locker room. Neal asks what happened at Sacrifice and says that Brother Ray is Jealous of him. Ray points out that he is one half of the greatest tag team of all time and is a 23 world tag team champion. He tells Neal to think before he talks and they start brawling.

Beer Money vs. Jay Lethal and TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Rob Van Dam.
(No Black Machismo references in his entrance video or in his wrestling gear.) Roode and Lethal start it off with Lethal getting some chops in for offense. Some Typical X Division wrestling by Lethal before Storm knocks Lethal down from the turnbuckle. Lethal is isolated from RVD as Storm is tagged in and dominates Lethal after a huge clothesline. Roode is tagged back in. We get an announcement on commentary that the TNA Championship committee has decided that the #10 spot in the “Top 10 Rankings” will be decided in an 8-man X Division Battle Royal ((How does that make sense, X Division wrestlers fighting for a Heavyweight Title Shot? And t)he fact that they stated everyone would move up. Um, that is kind of common sense in a rankings system)) Beer Money uses double team to gain control of Lethal before he starts to fight back and tags in RVD as Roode tags in Storm. RVD gets the best or Roode and Storm. A Thrust kick from the top rope on Strom gets only two for RVD. Lethal tags himself in and hits the Lethal Combination on Roode. RVD hits Rolling Thunder and dives onto James Storm on the outside. Lethal locks Roode in the Figure 4 Leg Lock and he taps. Winners by Submission: Jay Lethal and RVD.
After the match Ric Flair comes out and has a back and forth brawl with Lethal and Flair and after a minute or so, Flair runs to the back and Lethal follows. RVD shrugs and starts high fiving fans. A fan wearing a Sting mask throws a chair at him. He takes the mask off to reveal its Sting ((Wow, how ironic is that, Sting wearing a Sting mask. It’s almost like he’s not even disguised!)) He hits him with the chair and throws it at him as he’s walking up the ramp.
-Commercial Break-
In the last commercial before we go back to iMPACT, “TNA Fandomonuim” 2-Disc DVD Set with one Disc focusing on Beer Money, Inc. and the other on the Motor City Machine Guns will be on sale soon.
They replay the assault on Eric Bischoff from Sting earlier and the assault on RVD from Sting moments ago.
Jeff Hardy is in the ring with a microphone. He said he has made a living marching to the beat of a different drum. No one can think like he can. Hardy said he idolized Sting. So he dares Sting to take the hour to figure him out and he and his Creatures of the Night will take him beyond his wildest imagination.
Abyss/Desmond Wolfe/Chelsea Segment
TNA Security is seen outside Desmond Wolfe’s locker room. He tells Chelsea that everything will be ok and bosses Security around as he walks down the highway. Abyss is in the ring and says that Desmond has someone he wants. Weirdly there is a loud “Hogan” chant. After he tells Desmond to come out twice Chelsea is being led to the ring by two security guards with Desmond behind them. Chelsea is pleading to security not to make her go. Abyss says it’s quite ironic that at Sacrifice Desmond was his bitch, and tonight he was getting Desmond’s. Desmond says that Abyss has a sense of false security. He isn’t going to take her “sweetheart.” He takes a bottle out of Chelsea’s purse and smashes it against the ring post. He quivers in fear as Desmond tries to swipe him with it. Desmond slices his arm with it and Chelsea tries to hold Desmond back. He says “You wanted this!” to her. As he is about to slice his throat with it he goes back to yell at Chelsea. Abyss shatters the jagged bottle with his foot and Black Hole Slams Desmond. He leads Chelsea out of the ring and picks her up and carries her over his shoulder.
-Commercial Break-
The last commercial aired before we go back to iMPACT is for the new show “TNA ReAction”, which debuts in June.
In the ring is the Band (Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Eric Young) EY says that he understands the fans booing him because “I’ve got everything and you have nothing” He says that Hall, Nash, and Young are like brothers. He says that Nash is an “ass-kicker” he says what he is going to do and does it, and everyone hates it. He says that he is the only one that has the guts to do that, besides Scott Hall. EY says he’s in it for the money and he isn’t here to entertain the “mutants.” And he said there isn’t a damn thing anyone can do about it
Eric Young (with the Band) vs. Shannon Moore (with Jesse Neal)
EY gets the advantage early in the match and gets a two count. EY finally gets some offense and they announce from the booth that EY took Syxx-Pac’s place in the band (Don’t know why it matters, but they’ve never really said that Syxx-Pac’s place as taken.) Referee Earl Hebner catches Nash try to use the belt on Moore, but don’t eject him. EY uses the opportunity to lock Moore in an arm bar. Moore fights his way out of it and nails several kicks and a moonsault, but only gets two. Brother Ray comes out and Neal spears him on the ramp. Hall hits Moore in the back with the belt and EY hits the pile driver and gets a three count. Winner by pin fall: Eric Young.
After the match Neal comes in to check on Moore, and Brother Ray inflicts some more damage. Brother Devon tries to play peacemaker.
-Commercial Break-
Mike Tenay asks Taz what is going through the mind of Team 3D, since he’s known them so long. Taz says Brother Ray feels disrespected and Devon has a cooler head.
8-Man X-Divison Battle Royal for #10 spot in the “Top 10 Contenders” Ranking System
Kazarian vs. Chris Sabin vs. Alex Shelly vs. Jeremy Buck vs. Max Buck vs. Amazing Red vs. Homicide vs. Brian Kendrick
The order of elimination is: Amazing Red, Max Buck, Alex Shelly, and Jeremy Buck, Chris Sabin, Homicide, and Brian Kendrick. Winner of the Match: Kazarian. Right after Jeremy Bucks’ elimination, Ric Flair stands on the ramp and watches the match. He applauds Kazarian after he wins.
-Commercial Break-
Sting vs. Jeff Hardy
There are loud, dueling “Let’s go Hardy” and “Let’s go Sting” chants as the two tie up. Sting backs Hardy into a corner and hits him with several straight right hands before Hardy hits a few of his own and Sting rolls out of the ring. Hardy dropkicks Sting into the guardrail but crashes and burns the second time. Sting puts Hardy on the ramp and smashes his left knee into it twice before rolling him back into the ring. More dueling Hardy and Sting chants as Sting hits several kicks to Hardy in the corner. Sting hits the Stinger Splash the first time, but misses the second time. Hardy nails an inverted atomic drop and a dropkick but only gets a 2 count. Hardy Crashes off the top rope ads Sting locks in the Scorpion Death Lock. Hardy is able to get to the ropes and break the hold. Referee Slick Johnston falls to the floor. As Sting is about to hit the Scorpion Death Drop to Hardy, Mr. Anderson comes through the crowd and hits it on Sting. Hardy doesn’t see it and gets the pin. Winner by Pin fall: Jeff Hardy
After the match, Mr. Anderson raises the hand of Hardy and Hardy pushes him. Anderson tries to explain himself and calls for his microphone. Sting hits Anderson and Hardy first in the gut and then in the back with the bat and stands over them to close the show.
