TNA Impact TV taping results
May 19, 2010
Orlando, Fla. at the Impact Zone
TNA is taping portions of the June 3 and June 10 episodes of TNA Impact leading to the Slammiversary PPV on June 13. Refresh for our real-time coverage of today’s taping.
— TNA is giving away VIP tickets due to low expected attendance. Kurt Angle is scheduled for a meet-and-greet in the ring later tonight.
— Before the show, Jeremy Borash, Taz, Mike Tenay, So Cal Val, and the Spanish announce team came out for pre-show announcements.
Impact started with Mr. Anderson coming to the ring and announcing that he and Jeff Hardy will face Beer Money at Slammiversary. After Hardy joined Anderson, Beer Money then came out and cut a promo on “TNA’s newest BFFs.” They started to brawl until security broke them up.
(1) Jeff Hardy beat James Storm in a longish match. It had some good nearfalls before Hardy scored the win.
(2) Robert Roode beat Mr. Anderson in a slow match with outside interference.
Post-match: Anderson cut a promo saying no one can beat him clean. He did his Mister Anderson catchphrase, which got a reaction.
(3) Abyss & Global champion Rob Terry beat Orlando Jordan & Desmond Wolfe.
(4) Chris Sabin beat Max Buck of Generation Me.
(5) Brian Kendrick beat Homicide. Kendrick came out bleeding for some reason, which will apparently be explained on TV.
A.J. Styles, Desmond Wolfe, Beer Money, and Kazarian came to the ring. A.J. claimed they were booked in an eight-man tag match, but “corrupt TNA management” sent five of them to the ring. He said Kazarian is the odd-man out and he should go home. Jay Lethal then comes out impersonating Ric Flair. He does a great impersonation and announces the team already in the ring against himself, Anderson, and Abyss.
(6) A.J. Styles & Wolfe & Beer Money vs. Lethal & Anderson & Abyss goes to a No Contest when Jeff Hardy interrupted and cleaned house.
(7) Roxxi & Rosie Ruth beat Knockouts tag champions The Beautiful People. Not clear on whether it was non-title.
Hulk Hogan comes out and calls Matt Morgan such a backstabber that he has no friends and had to find him an opponent. The surprise opponent is Hernandez, making his TNA return.
