TNA iMPACT! Preshow
Air Date: May 3, 2010
Hosts: Jeremy Borash and So Cal Val
Report By: Jarrett Cox of TNAStars.com
Jeremy Borash and So Cal Val introduce the show from the “iMPACT Red Carpet” and introduce the show. After that an advertisement for tonight’s iMPACT airs they show footage of the Motor City Machine Guns vs. Generation from the Greenwood, Mississippi house show Saturday night. JB notes that they will show live footage of the Greenwood event through the Pre-Show. JB plugs the major announcement that will be announced on iMPACT and says don’t believe what you hear (although it was exactly what has been circulating around the web.) He also plugs the “Top 10 Contenders” poll and says that Desmond Wolfe is 1st on the poll while Jeff Hardy is 2nd. And JB also plugs Hulk Hogan presenting Ric Flair’s Hall of Fame Ring to someone tonight on iMPACT. He notes that Desmond Wolfe, Sarita and Tara Wilde will be on the pre-show.
They show more footage from the MCMG/Generation Me match Saturday night. After that JB plugs Jeff Hardy for the iMPACT Post-Show and footage of the AJ Styles vs. Jeff Hardy from the Saturday Night House Show.
JB introduces the tag team of Sarita and Taylor Wilde, did you know they were the first TNA Knockout Tag Champions? JB says that it is “nice to see them,” referring to their disappearance from TNA programming for the last few months. Taylor says that there is no athleticism in the Knockouts Division with their leather matches and what not. While Sarita says her boyfriend likes her in leather. Sarita states that she wants to put athleticism back in the knockouts division and also states that their “hot.” She says that she and Taylor are the “total package.” JB takes up a few moments to hit on the two and compliments them heavily. They say they want the TNA Knockout Tag titles back, and they will take advantage because their fresh. JB states the truth (for once in the night) in there’s been rumors that they have been cut by TNA Management. Sarita has been working for CMLL in Mexico, and Japan and had won a title there. Jeremy says that Mike Tenay had been talking about her to TNA Management and got Sarita hired and Sarita said she didn’t know that and she was honored. JB jokes about his lack of brain (Joke on Tenay’s nickname “The Professor”.) The next little bit was hard to hear for the announcing inside the iMPACT Zone, not too far from the Pre Show Set. JB asks for a “TNA Today Dance Party” then leaves the set as Sarita and Taylor dance. Afterwards you can hear bits and pieces because of the announcing in the iMPACT Zone, but I was able to make out that: Sarita has always wanted to wrestle, JB mentions that Dave Pentzer, the TNA Ring Announcer, is rumored to leave TNA, Taylor is dating, and Sarita isn’t married. Sarita says hi to her parents as the segment closes and they show an ad for Don West’s Brown Paper Bag Special on TNAShop.com
We are back on the Red Carpet as So Cal Van tries to get a word with the Number One Contender for Rob Van Dam’s TNA World Heavyweight Title tonight, Desmond Wolfe. He tells her to stay tuned to the show tonight.
They cut back to Jeremy Borash and he goes on a plug spree. He plugs the big announcement tonight and says it is major and will impact all of TNA. He plugs Hogan giving Ric Flairs Hall of Fame Ring tonight to someone, Beer Money vs. The Motor City Machine Guns, and all of the Knockouts in action. And we see another ad for TNA iMPACT tonight.
We’re back on the TNA iMPACT Red Carpet and So Cal Val’s guest is the former X Division Champion Douglas Williams (with the X Division Title on his shoulder). He complains about losing his title without being beaten for it, because of the volcanic eruption.
They show more footage from the Saturday House show. This time a Jeff Jarrett vs. James Storm match, JB plugs TNA Live Events, especially that one again. And another plug for Jeff Hardy on the TNA iMPACT Post Show. JB talks briefly about the abuse he’s suffered at the hands of Scott Hall and that he doesn’t like him. We’ve finally got a point to the Scott Hall talk, because he will be a guest on the Post Show. He states that he likes Kevin Nash, but not Scott Hall. He plugs the Post show again, coughs, types something into the laptop on the set, and coughs. Immediately afterward another Don West Brown Bag Special Commercial aired (guess JB cued it on his laptop) A segment called “Ask Sabin and Shelly” (which was in black in white) airs with Sabin and Shelly talking about various topics like diets, etc.
JB plugs the iMPACT broadcast and the Post Show right after iMPACT and that’s a wrap.
