A yet-to-be confirmed report is circulating the internet suggesting that Bischoff-Hervey Entertainment and its recent demographic and market research conducted on behalf of TNA had more to do with the move back to Thursday nights than anything else. Here is the body of the unconfirmed report:
During a staff meeting Monday afternoon, wrestlers and employees were informed that the decision was an internal one made in response to market research (much of which was handled by Eric Bischoff and Jason Hervey’s production company) that deemed the Thursday slot more preferable for TNA fans.
A Spike TV official was, nonetheless, on-hand to answer questions and assure wrestlers that the network was behind the new “TNA Thursdays” programming block.
If this report is confirmed, you’ll find out first on TNAStars.com. I have to admit, though, that the presence of a Spike TV official during the announcement has to be a good sign for the relationship between the cable channel and TNA Wrestling.
