Note from Joe: In an effort to maintain fairness, I’m editing a large portion of Meltzer’s comments since I listened to the same programming that he did and his report is clearly biased against Bubba the Love Sponge.
Bubba The Love Sponge had a lot to say on his radio show which was replayed on Sirius XM this afternoon. He said he was fired via e-mail by Dixie Carter, who said TNA has a zero tolerance policy for racial insensitivity. This likely has to do with the on-going Konnan lawsuit.
Bubba said he was fired for calling Awesome Kong a “dumb black bitch,” and asked how he could be labeled racially insensitive when TNA has a character called “The Black Pope” and “Black Machismo.”
He called Dixie Carter a “mark bitch” and said she listens to marks and that Vince McMahon would never make decisions that way. He said Dixie shouldn’t be running TNA, that nobody watches TNA, and that appearing on TNA is beneath him. He allegedly will sue TNA over Awesome Kong attacking him, which he previously refrained from doing because of his friendship with Hulk Hogan.
Bubba ended the broadcast by saying he is going to war against TNA. Bubba also commented on how Kevin Eck, a blogger for The Baltimore Sun, published biased reports where Eck implied that Bubba used racial slurs in his confrontation with Awesome Kong (which is untrue). Bubba’s producer implied that he might pursue some legal action against Eck and/or “his publisher,” The Baltimore Sun.
