WEST LAFAYETTE — West Lafayette native Ashley Simmons, who wrestles for Total Non-Stop Action as Madison Rayne, won the promotion’s Knockouts Championship at Sunday’s pay-per-view show Lockdown.
Rayne pinned champion Angelina Love in a cage match in which the Knockouts tag team titles, held by Rayne and Velvet Sky, also were on the line against Love and Tara.
Rayne is the first person in the company to hold both the Knockouts tag team titles and singles title at the same time. Rayne has been with TNA since January 2009 and trained with Ohio Championship Wrestling of Coshocton.
