In a case of good news and bad news, last night’s episode of TNA iMPACT! drew approximately 1.5 million viewers. The good news is that this is a great amount of viewers for the company to have at its back as TNA heads into the new Monday Night War on March 8th. The bad news is that 1.5 million viewers translates into about a 1.14 rating, which represents a continued statistical slide as the Hogan-Bischoff era continues.
In truth, this rating doesn’t mean much because the show was taped and spoilers were released weeks ago. The big test of the Hogan-Bischoff team and the test of whether or not the new Monday Night War will be a lopsided battle is how TNA performs on March 8th. Though the idea of Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair getting back in the ring makes some fans happy, their segment of last night’s show actually scored a 0.9.

Actually the Hogan/ Flair opening angle drew a 1.31. The main event match featuring AJ, Abyss, Pope, and Desmond Wolfe drew 0.9. Hogan and Flair were afterthoughts at the end of the show.
