TNA Wrestling will be holding a press conference on Monday, Feb. 15 at 2:30PM ET at the Impact Zone in Universal Studios Orlando to make what the company is calling a ‘major announcement’.
According to the release that TNA sent out today, both President Dixie Carter and Hulk Hogan will be present to make an announcement “that will impact professional wrestling fans worldwide”.
The company is expected to officially announce that its weekly TNA Impact television show will be moving from Thursdays to Mondays on Spike TV possibly as early as March 1, which has been heavily speculated for weeks. According to reports, the show would likely air live on Mondays every other week with the following week’s show a taped edition. That episode would be taped the Tuesday after the live show.
If that is the case, the two-hour show will be at least partially head-to-head with WWE Raw which airs on the USA Network from 9:00-11:00p ET. TNA Impact on Monday nights could air from either 8:00-10:00p ET or from 9:00-11:00p ET.
TNA Impact did air live on Monday, Jan. 4 which was a special three-hour edition of the show in which Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff and Ric Flair debuted. Jeff Hardy also made an appearance on that show which scored a 1.5 rating and 2.2 million viewers, the most ever for a TNA program.
