LOS ANGELES – I’m no Jimmy Carter, but I did make a stab Friday at setting up a peace summit to settle one of the ugliest, deep-seated rivalries in the world: Jesse Ventura vs. Hulk Hogan.
Hogan, who was at the TV Critics press tour to promote Spike’s “TNA Impact!” wrestling series, said that after years of exchanging harsh words in the press with our former governor, he’d be willing to sit down with his former friend and talk it out.
“I had never known that Jesse didn’t like me,” Hogan said. “I’m dying to find out what made him snap. I’d love to find out what makes him tick, if just for curiosity reasons.”
Hogan’s boss, TNA president Dixie Carter, said she wouldn’t rule out asking Ventura to be a part of her Thursday night show. “I’ve been in this business long enough to know to never say never.”
