8:30pm EST: Show opens with Jeremy Borash and SoCal Val. Within the first minute there are more than 830 viewers. They hype tonight’s post-iMPACT! show with Don West. Borash says that he started with the WCW Hotline and then the WCW Live show, which fans liked because there was some one-on-one contact with the fans. He expects this show to be the same type of interactive experience for the fans. SoCal Val agrees – says that TNA is getting bigger and better like Hulk Hogan said.
Borash says that they will do this show from location around the world no matter where they are (including England).
SoCal Val and Borash talk about Don West’s Brown Bag Specials and other specials available on ShopTNA.com. Within the first five minutes of the show there are about 1,000 viewers watching the debut edition of TNA Live. There are over 1,000 viewers by the six minute mark.
“When the fans talk, TNA listens.” – Jeremy Borash
8:35pm EST: At this point in the show, SoCal Val and Borash have done nothing but promote different TNA properties including Dixie Carter’s Twitter account, TNAWrestling.com, and ShopTNA.com. There also appears to be a slight delay between the audio and the video feeds and there is a very annoying pop up advertisement that appears within the video window over and over again no matter how many times you “x” out of the advertisement.
At the 8:37pm EST mark, they go to a pretaped iMPACT! preview video – the same one that was posted earlier in the week.
After the advertisement, we’re back with SoCal Val who says that tonight on TNA Live, we’re going to relive all of the best moments from last week’s iMPACT! Val plugs the TNA properties again including the post-iMPACT! show, TNA Epics, TNAWrestling.com, and ShopTNA.com.
At the 8:39pm EST mark, Val tosses it to a pretaped Epics preview video – which has also been available on YouTube for some time.
After the advertisement, we’re back with Val and she runs down the card for tonight’s iMPACT! reminding everyone that the ladies are going to want to watch the debut of the tag team Generation Me. She hates on the tag team of Lethal Consequences saying that they’re not one of her favorites.
At the 8:40pm EST mark, Val tosses it to a pretaped TNAVideoVault.com video advertisement, which we’ve seen before.
After the advertisement, we’re back with Val talking about upcoming live events and where fans can purchase tickets. At this point in the show, there are about 1,100 viewers watching the program and nothing of substance has been covered for the first twelve minutes of the show other than advertisements.
At the 8:42pm EST mark, Val tosses it to a pretaped advertisement for the Bound for Glory PPV. At this point, I understand that this entire show is nothing more than a gigantic advertisement so I’m not paying attention to it any more. TNA blew a nice opportunity by making this big debut show nothing more than an extended advertisement.
They announce that the post-iMPACT! show will be live from tonight’s house show.
The show ends at about 8:50pm EST.
