Deputy Neil Godfrey of the Moore County Sheriff’s Department in Cartage, North Carolina confirmed in a press release that former WWE star Jeff Hardy was indeed arrested yesterday (Friday) on a number of drug-related charges. Godfrey also stated that Jeff Hardy was bailed out yesterday afternoon “by his brother” and was free on bail. However, Jeff Hardy contradicts the report on Twitter saying:
“For the record, Matt didn’t bail me out, loan me money, or is his name on anything.. He’s just learning about today’s situation..”
The estimated street value of the drugs that got Hardy arrested is $2,500. To recap the situation, Jeff Hardy is being charged with a total of five (5) felonies: Felony trafficking in opium, two counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule III controlled substance, felony maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substance, felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
