Here’s a weird suggestion that you might get a kick out of — Give Dolph Ziggler the Mr. Kennedy gimmick (now that Kennedy is out). “My name is DOOOOOLPH ZIGGGGGLLEEEERRRRR… ZIGGGGGLLLEEERRR.” Just a thought.
This was an important match for Ziggler. With the SmackDown! roster slim for all kinds of reasons, a good match here would have helped him establish as a main-event player, which is what WWE wants out of him (hence slapping Maria on him as well, recently). He did okay and had a good match with Mysterio, having in mind the tough spot they were in on the card. The 619 and Splash did the job for Rey, who got the pin. His mask fell off at one point in time… Main event is next.
