Following last week’s announcement that Monday’s RAW would be a commercial-free show, many wondered how that would impact the rating of the program. The numbers are finally in, and it was quite the difference.
RAW did a final broadcast rating of 4.5, off of hours of 4.2 and 4.8, with the second hour of the program being viewed by a ridiculously-high average of 7.3 million people. The show overall averaged 6.8 million viewers, which is a significant increase from the past five weeks (an average of 5.18 million viewers since May 18th). While there is no doubt most of this big score is direct contribution of cutting commercials, the Donald Trump storyline certainly helped. Triple H vs. Randy Orton being given away on national TV was also a small part of it, perhaps. The rating does beg the question of whether we really have seen the last of Trump or not.
