– To explain why SmackDown stars continue to appear on RAW (and why RAW stars appeared on SmackDown last Friday) despite a draft being held last week, Michael Cole explained on commentary last night that the draft moves won’t fully go into effect until after Backlash.
Last night’s episode of RAW featured five stars from SmackDown competing in matches including Chris Jericho, CM Punk, Kane, Melina and Rey Mysterio. Likewise, last week’s episode of SmackDown featured a total of eight stars from RAW including Triple H, Randy Orton, Big Show, Maryse, Montel Vontavious Porter and Matt Hardy, not to mention a main event pitting Batista against Ted DiBiase.
