In a match signed this afternoon according to sources close to the situation, Ken Shamrock will face Bobby Lashley on a PPV event that will combine boxing and MMA, promoted and headlined by Roy Jones Jr.
The show takes place at the Pensacola Civic Center and will be headlined by Jones vs. Omar Sheika in a light heavyweight boxing match.
Lashley had been confirmed on the show a few weeks ago for his second MMA fight, after stopping Joshua Franklin in 41 seconds on 12/13 in Miami.
He was scheduled for a second match a few weeks ago in California, but pulled out citing an ankle injury. Shamrock, coming out unscathed in a match on 2/13 in Fresno, beating 6-8, 380-pound Ross Clifton, agreed to the match over the past week.
The match was reported earlier today by bloodyelbow.com, and confirmed by other sources.
We’ll discuss this more tonight on our radio show.
