In somewhat of a huge surprise, WWE’s newest music themes CD — “Voices” — officially debuted at number 11 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart. In an even bigger development for the company, the CD hit number one on the Soundtracks chart. One would think the recent push of Randy Orton and his theme song being incorporated heavily into video packages and his character itself is a huge part of the CD’s success. Randy Orton’s theme, “Voices” is sung by Rev Theory who were to perform the song live on RAW at some point in time in the near future.

One of my gripes with WWE music CDs (and the Randy Orton one being the prime example) is how they alter certain songs just for the CD. Why on earth would they start the Randy Orton theme, with a variation of his old one? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I did buy Volume 9. This may quite possibly be the worst WWE CD ever. The only decent song is “Voices.”

Yeah, I completely agree — the CD is crap! It’s possibly their worst one yet in fact, but I think Orton’s song alone is what made it a huge success because that’s how over he is right now!
