The success of Darren Aronofsky’s The Wrestler continues as today the movie was nominated for two Oscars in the major categories. Mickey Rourke’s come-back is in full throttle, as he got a nomination for Best Actor for his amazing portrayal of Randy “the Ram” Robinson. Furthermore, Marisa Tomei will definitely not regret taking off her clothes completely in order to portray stripper Cassidy in the movie, as she got an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress as a result! Darren Aronofsky didn’t get a nod for Direction, while the surprise of this year’s Oscar nominations was the Academy giving Clint Eastwood and his movie Gran Torino a shaft with absolutely no nominations in the main categories.
