For all the MMA fans out there, you should all be aware that Affliction’s PPV airs this Saturday night live from Anaheim, California. Gilbert Yvel has finally been cleared by the CA State Athletic Commission and will take part in the event by facing Josh Barnett in one of the top matches on the show.
On the flip side of things, however, Chris Horodecki, who was originally scheduled to face Dan Lauzon, didn’t manage to pass his medical examinations, and thus is out of the event. Promoter Tom Atencio announced that the company is looking at different options for a replacement, which isn’t so easy as the replacement fighter must not only be in shape, but already be licensed by the Commission to fight.
