Here’s what we know will take place on Monday Night RAW tonight:
— The big story of the night will be the return of one Vince McMahon. The last time we saw McMahon on TV was the summer of 2008 in his million dollar giveaway, where a set collapsed on him and “took him out.” There should be a confrontation between him and Stephanie McMahon, and one figures Chris Jericho would be a part of it too.
— CM Punk returns to his hometown of Chicago, IL a day before former Illinois Senator Obama is sworn-in as the next President of the country. WWE pro-longed the Intercontinental match with William Regal for a second week seven days ago, thus one has to wonder if they wanted to give Punk a hometown win?
— Rey Mysterio finally takes on Mike Knox in a grudge singles match. Knox has been attacking Mysterio for what seems to be months now. I doubt this will end tonight. I should also point out that WWE was hoping to get Evan Bourne back around the Royal Rumble, and though I’m not sure what the medical update on him is, one has to think he’ll be involved with Mike Knox and Rey Mysterio upon his return.
— There’s a contract signing scheduled for tonight between John Cena and JBL. Yes, Shawn Michaels will also be there doing what he does best — showing sad faces, and making you feel bad for him!
