As already announced on our website, Steve Austin and Bill Watts are the first two members of WWE’s 2009 Hall of Fame Class. Bill Watts sent out a letter to confirm he was called up, and has accepted, stating he asked Jim Ross to induct him. Steve Austin is expected to be inducted in by Ric Flair.
With this in mind, one might rule out Danny Hodge as getting in because Jim Ross is the only person to induct him, unless Ross pulls double duty that night. The word we’re getting is that WWE is expected to contact other Texas legends, such as Dory & Terry Funk, and potentially The Von Erichs as a group. We’ll keep you updated!
