Following the Genesis PPV on Sunday and recent events, injuries have plagued TNA. Here is an updated situation of everyone that’s hurt:
* Christy Hemme — two herniated disks in her neck; will not have surgery, but a completely new therapy to resolve the problem.
* Awesome Kong — bad back (blew her back out while in Japan is the latest version); she’s very limited in the ring for the time being.
* Kevin Nash — hospitalized after a horrible staph infection and was to undergo an elbow surgery today. We’ll keep you updated on how things turn out.
* Sting — his knees are bothering him a lot to the point they had to shot a lot of different angles to cover for his inability to go in the ring for too long. He appeared at the TV tapings tonight.
* Robert Roode — injured ankle following his match at Genesis last night. No word on how long he’s out of action for.
* Dave Meltzer is reporting that Jeff Jarrett, Samoa Joe, and Brother Ray Dudley are all working injury angles, thus D-Von was probably working the audience in his last interview with Alex Marvez, where he claimed Bubba’s pretty banged up and might retire. All three are expected back and with all the other injuries, one would believe they’ll be back soon.
