In an interview with Alex Marvez, Brother Devon Dudley from TNA’s Team 3-D mentioned that his tag team partner Brother Ray has taken an “indefinite break” from TNA. His storyline write-off from TNA on December 11 is the last time we saw Bubba, and it could be a while until we see him again. Apparently Ray’s very banged up and his body is in pretty bad shape. Devon mentions that he saw this coming a couple of years ago and recalls Ray would sometimes even have troubles getting on a plane as a result of taking bumps and high-risk moves for over twenty years of pro wrestling.
Devon notes he’s excited to continue with TNA in a singles role, and if Ray plans on retiring from wrestling, he will not follow suit. “Bubba and I are definitely two different people… What he lacks in wrestling ability, I pick up. What I lack in talking, he picks up. But I still think when I’m given the mike, I’ve always held my own.” You can read the full interview here.
