A Main Event Mafia video package opens this week’s show that shows their dominance and has them talking about and demanding respect. The intro hits for the Christmas edition of Impact and we are told that the first semi-final match for the X Division Tournament will take place and we will get to hear from Jeff Jarrett as he prepares to face Kurt Angle at Genesis.
Mick Foley’s music hits as he comes out to the ring with a microphone. Foley wishes everyone a happy holiday before sending out a message to the MEM that if there is another gangland style hit, he may have to get personally involved. Foley then says the bloodshed stops tonight as the music for the Mafia cuts him off.
The MEM come out of the tunnel and Kurt Angle says that they have had a misunderstanding as they were actually the victim last week. Angle says that Sting and Kevin Nash were forced into the cage match last week and AJ Styles left his partner and says that Samoa Joe was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Foley says that he is put into a bind as he doesn’t want to book any matches for Kevin Nash, Booker T or Scott Steiner at Genesis due to the fact that they may put a hit out on their opponents. Foley will, however, make a double main event for tonight with Booker T & Scott Steiner taking on Brother Devon & AJ Styles and Angle going up against Rhino with Jeff Jarrett watching from the outside. Foley warns them that he will keep his promise to become physically involved if it gets out of hand.
Jeremy Borash is standing in the locker room with Rhino who says he is going to punish Kurt Angle like an animal with Jeff Jarrett watching every action. Rhino says it’s not about picking up the win but for extracting revenge for Petey Williams, Brother Ray and Samoa Joe.
Match 1: Kiyoshi vs. Chris Sabin (X Division Tournament Semi-final Match)
Referee Shane Sewell is back from his suspension and is the referee for this match that opens with quick back and forth action. Sheik Abdul Bashir pulls up a chair and watches from the ramp as Kiyoshi works over Sabin with some kicks and a headlock. Sabin is able to turn the tide and nails Kiyoshi with the hesitation dropkick. Sabin picks up a near fall after hitting a tornado DDT but Kiyoshi takes over control with a kick to the chest. Kiyoshi misses with moonsault and Sabin is able to answer back with the Cradle Shock for the pin fall and advances to the finals.
Sheik Abdul Bashir begins walking towards the ring and stands face to face with Sewell. Bashir slaps him in the face and shoves him a few times and Sewell begins taking his referee shirt off as the lights go out and Suicide comes down to the ring and gives Bashir a dropkick that knocks him out of the ring.
We head out to the parking lot where Lauren is with the Beautiful People and the fake Gov. Palin. There are several fans out there cheering them on and Angelina Love calls them all dirty, disgusting, marks. Palin says that they are the American people and pushes them into the crowd so they can meet the public.
A video package highlighting the feud between Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle is aired. We then see a pre-taped sit down interview between Mike Tenay and Jeff Jarrett who says that he handpicked Kurt Angle to replace him and carry the company but things have changed since then. Mike Tenay brings up the comments that Angle make about his family and Jarrett says that Angle isn’t the same guy that he was two years ago and it turns his stomach to hear what he says. As for Genesis, he says he is preparing for a fight and says that losing is not an option for him or his family.
Kurt Angle comes out to the broadcast table and says that he has no sympathy for Jarrett or his three little girls. Angle promises that it will be a bloody fight and says that he will hurt Jarrett tonight when he comes down to the ring. To keep Rhino occupied, he is bringing Sting down to the ring with him.
Beer Money is the subject of this week’s TNA Rough Cut where Robert Roode and James Storm give their thoughts on the tag team. Roode wondered what people were going to think about it and Storm thinks it is completely different from his time with AMW. They both think they are the best tag team going right now and that people are either with them or against them.
A video package focusing on the feud between Beer Money and Abyss & Morgan is aired. Abyss & Matt Morgan will challenge Beer Money at Genesis and Lauren is standing by with them backstage. Morgan cuts of Abyss right away and tells him that he has heard enough before chasing Lauren away. Morgan gets serious and says that the games are over and says that it is going to be the final act at Genesis.
Jeremy Borash is in the locker room with AJ Styles and Brother Devon who wants to know about the condition of Samoa Joe and their match tonight against Booker T and Scott Steiner. AJ Styles says that Joe was informed prior to their match last week that his wife was in labor with their first child. After the match, Joe walked away with a fractured arm and will have to hold his son the first time with a sling around his arm. Styles gets animated and tell the Mafia to come after him instead.
Brother Devon says that in the 15 years that he and Ray have been together, he has never seen Ray second guess himself and may never come back mentally. As for himself, Devon says that the Mafia has unleashed something in him that they should have never unleashed.
Jeremy Borash is standing by with the Motorcity Machine Guns who are celebrating Sabin’s victory in the tournament. Shelley talks about his upcoming match with Eric Young in two weeks and says that he can remember a time where Young was scared of his own pyro. Young comes in and slaps him in the face as they get into it and have to be separated by Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed.
As Tenay and West break down what just happened, the fight between Shelley and Young comes out to the Impact Zone and into the ring. Lethal and Creed keep Sabin out of the ring as these two try to settle their differences in the ring. Sabin is finally able to pull Shelley out of the ring but Young takes them both out with a dive through the ropes. Lethal, Creed and the referees break the brawl apart and the MMG’s walk up the ramps together.
Lauren is standing by with the TNA Knockouts why are all dressed up in Christmas clothing. Traci Brooks announces that tonight will feature the second annual Santa’s Workshop Knockout Street Fight. ODB, Taylor Wilde, Roxxi, and Christy Hemme then go on to scream and holler about the match.
A video package highlighting the hits that Main Event Mafia has done is aired. This brings us into the second match of the night.
Match 2: Scott Steiner & Booker T vs. Brother Devon & AJ Styles
Brother Devon takes Booker down with the Lou Thesz press and knocks Steiner off of the apron before tagging in Styles. Booker is able to knee Styles in the midsection and tags in Steiner, who comes in and nails Styles with a series of chops before taking him down with a t-bone suplex. Styles is able to turn the tables by connecting with a boot to the face and tags in his partner.
Brother Devon works over Steiner in their corner for a moment before tagging Styles back in, who finds himself backed into the wrong corner as Booker tags himself in and the match breaks down. The match finds its way to the floor as we head into a commercial break.
We return to see a split screen view of the match, which is still outside of the ring with Booker and Devon actually outside of the Impact Zone. The referee has officially tossed this match out as the battle continues. Kurt Angle and Kevin Nash ambush Devon on the outside and handcuff him to a pole before heading back into the Impact Zone.
Scott Steiner is working on Styles in the ring as Slick Johnson tries to get him to quit as the match is no longer going on. Styles begins to make a comeback and catches him with a flying forearm as the reinforcements arrive. Styles takes out Angle, Nash and Booker but the numbers game catches up with him.
A chair is brought into the ring and they put Styles’ arm in the chair as Eric Young, Jay Lethal, and Consequences Creed run down to the ring for the save but the Mafia is still too powerful. Rhino comes down and starts swinging and cleans house before Steiner nails him with a chair.
Mick Foley’s music hits as he comes out to the ring and keeps his promise by taking swings at the Mafia. Foley pulls out Mr. Socko and begins to put the mandible claw on Angle before he slides out of the ring. As the Mafia clears the ring, Foley grabs as microphone and we head into a commercial break.

Kong comes in and puts in a nerve pinch as her partners come in to help but Kong takes them all down.
Hemme puts Kong in a sleeper as this match breaks down with all eight in and out of the ring. Taylor jumps on a pile of Knockouts from the top rope as Kong and Christy battle in the ring. Taylor comes in and hits Kong with dropkick that sends her to the outside but Khan comes in and nails Taylor from behind and knocks her down. While Khan is playing to the crowd, Taylor rolls her up and picks up the pin fall.
We see Rhino and Kurt Angle heading to the ring and the matchup between these two is up next.
Match 4: Kurt Angle w/ Sting vs. Rhino w/ Jeff Jarrett
Angle and Rhino fight back and forth until Rhino finally connects with a clothesline that sends Angle out to the floor. Rhino follows him out and sends him into the guard railing before rolling him back into the ring. When Rhino enters the ring, Angle connects with a shoulder block and he turns around and spits on Jarrett on the outside. The sets Jarrett off who slides into the ring as Angle leaves and Jarrett has to be held back by Rhino and some referees as we head into a commercial break.
We return to the match to see Angle in control as he is stomping on Rhino. Angle picks up a couple of two counts on Rhino and continues to wear him down with a series of shoulder blocks in the corner and a bear hug. Rhino fights his way out of the submission move and they connect with a clothesline on each other.
Rhino is able to gain the momentum once they get to their feet and goes for the Gore but Angle kicks him in the head. Earl Hebner ends the match as security and referees come in to separate the two bitter rivals. BG James yells at Angle to control himself and Angle knocks him out with a sucker punch as Impact comes to a close.
