New England Championship Wrestling presents its final live event of 2008 and perhaps its most important on Saturday night, December 13 at 7 PM at the Billerica Memorial High School, 35 River Street, Billerica, MA. THE POWER OF LOVE is a benefit event for the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program. 100% of the proceeds will go to Toys for Tots. Admission to the event is the donation of a new unwrapped toy, or a $10 contribution per adult, $5 per child.
NECW’s THE POWER OF LOVE will be capped by a huge double main event! NECW Triple Crown Champion, “The Mohawked Enforcer” Max Bauer will defend his title against the current NECW Television Champion, Handsome Johnny. Only the Triple Crown will be on the line, as “The Handsome One” gets the chance to cement his place at the pinnacle of NECW.
The second half of our double main event is an NECW Tag Team Championship Dream Match! The current NECW Tag Team Champions, PRIDE (Dan Freitas & Brian Nunes) after their victory in a five team gauntlet match, are claiming to be the greatest tag team in NECW history.
Saturday night in Quincy, PRIDE were confronted by D.C. Dillinger, claiming that he and “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards, Sabotage, are the greatest tag team in NECW history. PRIDE are 3 time champions. Sabotage are 4 time former champions. Which team is the greatest in NECW history? The two most storied teams in the annals of NECW will collide on Saturday night, December 13 to decide that very question! In addition, #1 contender “The Golden Greek” Alex Arion squares off against “The Real Deal” Brandon Locke. World Women’s Wrestling Champion, “The Portuguese Princess” Ariel, managed by Brendan Michael Thomas battles Taeler Hendrix in a non-title grudge match, “The Human Nightmare” Evan Siks of Team Nightmare faces Darling Damon of The Crown Jewels, “The Talent” T.J. Richter with his new bodyguard “The Bulldozer” John Munroe goes up against Makoto in a return grudge match, plus “Superstar” Ryan Matthews faces the high-flying Nick Westgate.
