Following last night’s stellar UFC 91 card that took place from Las Vegas and aired live on PPV, the UFC handed out their regular fight night bonuses for KO of the night, Submission of the night, and of course, fight of the night.
Knock out of the night honors went to Jeremy Stephens for what could most likely be considered the biggest uppercut in UFC history when he sent his opponent Rafael dos Anjos flying back to Brazil and then followed it up with a flurry of punches to take the contest and put a stamp on his Brazilian counterpart.
Submission of the night went to Dustin Hazelett for his impression display of Jiu Jitsu and execution of the rubber guard when he tied up Tamden McCrory and submitted him with what looked like a very painful armbar.
Although Brock Lesnar and Randy Couture had a entertaining main event between them that seen Lesnar take the heavyweight title from Couture, the Fight of the Night award went to Jorge Gurgel and Aaron Riley after both fighters went to war for three round. Riley would take the fight via a split decision in what was a back and forth brawl.
For their efforts each fighter received $60,000 to go on top of their base salaries that should be available soon.
