Several sources are reporting that Lance Cade’s release did in fact have nothing to do with his bad match on RAW a few weeks ago. Shawn Michaels was a great supporter of Cade’s backstage, and was probably the person who suggested jobbing to young Cade in the first place.
However, as Jim Ross hinted in his recent blog where he said Lance made a “poor choice,” the reason for Cade’s release is an incident that took place on a WWE flight, as Cade suffered a seizure. He was hospitalized and all tests were run on him, showing absolutely no problems. With that result, WWE had no choice but to let him go, as following Jeff Hardy‘s recent airport incident, the company has gotten very strict on how employees/independent contractors act on flights. As Jim Ross mentioned, luckily for Lance Cade, Lillian Garcia was on the same flight and was of great help to Cade during the incident. Ross went as far as to say she “saved his life.”
